Help! School project on Personal Style?

  • I have a project in class where we have to talk about personal style and what it means to us. The presentation has to be done by video for 2 minutes with us talking about personal style and what it means to us and then we will watch it in class. Does anybody know what I can do in the video and what I should say. I want to be as original and innovative when I can, is there any place I should go and video myself or is it best to stay at home. I personally believe that personal style has a lot to do with who you are from within and how comfortable you are with yourself but how do I emphasise on this?. My grades have been slipping recently so I neeed to do well on this bigtime :( Any help would be SO appreciated oxoxo


  • since you want to emphasise on who you are from within and how comfortable you are with yourself, you should give examples of this
    and say that this is really important, etc.
    e.g. the way you dress is your own personal style, and you wear what you feel comfortable in physically and mentally, and what you want to wear to show yourself as you want to

    choose a location/place where you feel the most comfortable. ditto for the clothes, lighting, talk, etc. - Just be "Yourself". don't embellish it too much - don't try to be too formal ...
    ask yourself what or how are you when nobody is watching you. try to capture That Essence of yourself.
    in practical terms, try to think of adjectives that define or describe you...

    remember, however, that you will need to incorporate that into a personal style that has to become public. hence it should be appealing. think also of how you can incorporate that personal style into the art-form of your choice/course. it should be your Signature.
    try to gauge what that common underlying factor is/can be & highlight it or use it in various forms as a common theme/motif.
