  • It all started when I got a trojan virus from trying to watch family guy. I deleted it, but my computer has still been very slow. I've scanned it numerous times too and still have not found any other virus. What should I do?


  • Click on tools at the top left of your screen, select internet options. In here you can delete your cookies, and more importantly you can defrag your computer. Defragging should make your computer run more smoothly. It might take a little while to complete if you have never done it before, but it's worth it.


  • try scan in safe mode, press f8 on reboot then select safe mode up top. but before start scan ,open up my computer click on tools, folder options then click view tab and click on show hidden files and folders. then do another scan, put this setting back to hide after ok. after scan if finds virus save log if can or write down the path of where virus is , always delete from quarantine in safe mode not normal windows mode.
    also are you using antispyware as well, try spybot seach and destroy its free just google it and adaware but get better features if pay for this one

  • go into your hard drive C:\

    look for systems 32 and delete the file win32....

    this file makes the computer slow and contains many viruses that often hide in it.


  • I would just start over.
    1- save all your important stuff somewere else other then your pc (music, movies, that stuff) on something like a separate harddrive or a USB
    2- delete everything on your computer and uninstall windows and everything
    3-reinstall windows
    4-copy all of your stuff back on your pc
    5- say hello to your bran-new pc

    if you dont want to do that then theres tons of other things you can do
    1- http://www.ccleaner.com/ download CCleaner (its free and awesome) it cleans out your computer of tons of stuff you dont use, like cookies, browsing history. it DOESNT delete anything important or anything you will notice.
