Possible? Network Source Connectability Indicator

  • So my network has a number of personal computers, each of which is a source of various media files for my XBMC. However, because they are PC's, they are not always powered on and accessible.

    Is there some way I can add an indicator on the home page that shows if each PC is powered on/connectable? I was thinking something like the "conditional visibility" feature in XBMC.

    If possible, that would be awesome.

  • a combination script and skin settings may be what you want.

    check out the wol module in plugin maker. then check out the pydocs from my signature on how to use executebuiltin.

    you'll want one of the skin.set* commands link to manual in signature
