Which defense to start week 2?

Minnesota's D versus Colts, or
Raven's D versus Houston Texans?
Both are good Defenses, but I like the chances that Baltimore will force more turnovers against Houston. Schaub had 2 INTs last week, and they could also score some sacks. Peyton is notoriously difficult to sack, and doesn't make a lot of mistakes with the football. Not to mention, if the Colts are back to normal this week, they probably are a threat to put up more points. Houston as pretty one-dimensional right now with their hurting RBs, so look for them to pass a lot and for better turnover opportunities.
  • I prefer Minnesota's D versus the Colts on a hunch, the Colts seem to be struggling, Peyton Manning has lost his starting center and Minnesota's defense will be strongly motivated to get its name back after forcing no sacks and zero interceptions against Aaron Rodgers last week.

BUT if you don't follow hunches, sensible, the Ravens will likely do very well against the Texans, as Houston has no RB, enabling Baltimore to leave just 4 in the box and stacking coverage against Schaub, Andre Johnson, and Kevin Walter. Both are excellent options, however, I hope this analysis helped!
  • I would go with the ravens D, simply because I think the colts are really going to pull out all the stops to get back on track. whereas houston doesnt have that kind of firepower.
  • I'd go with the Ravens' D. I know that the Colts didn't do much last week, but until the Colts start doing poorly week in and week out, I wouldn't start a defense against them.
