  • Yes for the last 8 year, and it will keep going down hill for awhile, if it will every get better.

    Im not sure it ever going to get better, we are to far in debt to other countries.

  • Yes, especially since the oil embargo of 1973. Our economy and the stability of our lives have not been the same since that event. Our nation's leadership ignored this early omen and failed to put the U.S. on a crash program to energy independence. Their failed guardianship may affect us, if not doom us, for years to come. To add injury to insult, our wise leaders are now placing us in danger of manufactured-goods dependence as well. Half of our doom comes in oil tankers. The other half comes in.....cargo containers............


    As proof that many U.S. businesses are aware of this, I would like to mention an experience I had at the grocery store yesterday. I picked up a jar of Musselman's apple sauce and on the label was a picture of a stylized red & white-striped apple. Next to the apple were printed the words, "100% AMERICAN GROWN APPLES"

    I might also mention that I looked to purchased a large onion for deep-fried onion rings. The only ones I could find had labels that read "PERU" on them. I didn't buy them..........


    Globalization is wonderful for those persons with small consciences and large foreign bank accounts. As for the rest of us, well............................
