Does it seem that most women need makeup just to look good?
Im not trying to be mean. just an observation. I mean i was watching america top model and the girls look just okay nothing special but when the makeup artist get to them they like total revamp their face to actually look good. This example applies to most normal women. In my opinion makeup should be banned because it give people (mostly male) a FALSE claim of beauty, and that's what they use to hook guys, get stuff they probably wouldn't get, and etc. Ive seen many women after a shower or just waking up and they look like totally different women than the ones who went out last night.
But if you look at guys(NO HOMO). We dont need makeup, the latest clothes, plastic surgery, and etc to look good. We give women the truth on our appearance oppose to women.
So does it seem that most women need makeup just to look good ?
It seems like im pissed about this , Im really not. Its just confusing to hear that women are so beautiful than men but women revamp their face every morning ...JUST TO LOOK GOOD. I just think makeup shows fake beauty which shouldnt be allowed.You claim men don't wear makeup? That sure would be a surprise to the whole industry of men's toiletries. I have seen make-up, skin creams, colognes, hair color and a host of other things. Men go to beauty salons, have nails done, get facials and a host of things thought to be only for a females. When it comes to looking good and trying to impress the opposite sex men are just a vain as women. We all like to be well-groomed and feeling good about the way we look. I'm sure you'd complain if you saw some women without make up.i agree. i don't wear makeup, god made us like this, and we just have to accept it.Men certainly do rely on status symbols to increase their chances with the opposite sex! It may not be make-up, but how often do you see a guy with worn out clothes, a beat up car and no job with a gorgeous woman? Men and women have different criteria as to what makes them a good mate, subconsciously. For women, it tends to be physical beauty. For men, it tends to be what he can provide. Both sexes lie about these things to increase their odds, especially if they're younger. Guys lie about jobs, money, cars, status. Does that mean we should ban them from talking?
And seriously, you want to compare the average woman with a model you saw on a reality TV show? A little goes a long way with most women, especially those who are secure in their place in the world. They don't need to cake it on. But if you're clubbing and picking up one-night stands, you shouldn't be surprised with what you get in the morning.I didn't realize that so many men were so shallow and simple that a little color on a woman's face would delude him as to her true looks.
And men wore plenty of make-up throughout history. The Romans wore make-up...both male and female. In the 18th century, men wore high heels, wigs, full make-up, earrings and fake beauty spots.I think there is a cultural expectation for women to always look good. It seems like, in general, women are always supposed to look 'put together'- the right clothes, hair taken care of, and makeup. If women, whether consciously or unconsiously, feel like makeup is an expected norm, then they'll use it. They shouldn't feel like they have to put on makeup, but I don't know whom to blame for that. Then perhaps you need to date only women who don't wear makeup.
Good luck with that!I think you do seem way over the top to say it should be 'banned' and not allowed? Although some people slap it on most people just use it to accentuate their faces. Generally women are paler than men and have less distinctive bone structure. I always wear makeup it makes me feel me and brighter, I don't see why you think it's such a big deal...Yes, the answer to everything is to put more and more restrictions on people.
