Have I been approved for Citizenship?
I have already passed the interview for citizenship and the officer told me my case has been recommended for approval, and I will receive an oath appointment in a month or two. It has been 6 months since then and they are telling me my case has been sent for an additional review. what does that mean? Is there any chance they might still deny my case??maybe but dont worry you gotta be positive about itYou have not been approved for citizenship yet. There is definitely a chance that you will not be approved. Nothing you can do but wait and see.Once you take the oath.You're American(God help you)Baby!!! My husband was just approved for citizenship in beginning of February and they told him the same thing that it had to go for final approval and he received his letter for his oath about 2 weeks later. So There is a very good chance that you could still be denied. Waiting for that oath drives you crazy. You can go online to the website and enter your case number and that should help you so you know what is going on. So good luck and I hope you receive that letter shortly. The best you can do is hang on and know that you made it. And if it comes back you did not get the final approval at least you know you tried. That is a very hard thing to do. to try and become a US citizen. And also a very brave thing to. I helped my husband for about 8 months just to study the history and everything about here.Same thing with my wife. She's been waiting 9 months for the date of the ceremony since the interview. This process is taking years. It's ridiculous.
We went to the immigration office to find out what is taking so long and they said they were just waiting for the transfer of some documents and that's it. 9 months to transfer some documents????Yes, there is a definite chance that you will be denied US citizenship.
