  • I bought a pet nail cutter from the vet, and i forgot to ask how to use it.. the cutter looks weird and is angeled some how, so should i use it from side to side or normally as humans do?

  • just normally

  • If you don't know how to clip a dog's nails, please have it done professionally. Cut into the quick and you'll hurt your dog.

  • If you do not know how, you should probably leave this job to a professional groomer or your vet. If you cut your dogs nails wrong, you could hit the "quick" and cause your dog to bleed.

Most nail trimmers for dogs are used from side to side, to answer your question.

  • WELL DONT U DO IT... GO TO THE VET OR BUY THAT NEW PET GROOMER ITS FILES PET NAILS WITH NO PAIN IF U ACCIDENTLY GO TO DEEP U CAN HIT A BLOOD NERVE IN THE DOGS FOOT AND CAUSE IT TO BLEED TO DEATH!!!! DONT USE CLIPPERS EVER!!! THEY PINCH THE NERVE!!!!

  • well i have a nail cutter for my dog and you stick the nail in to the right length and the you squeeze the handles and the nail is cut but now they have this new this where all you do is stick the nail in there and it kind of files the nail away and never makes the dog bleed

  • look on youtube!great info there

  • I don't think you should at all if you don't know what you're doing you could end up hurting your dog.

  • i agree with "zipperdude"let a pro do it
