  • So we are currently reading Lord Of The Flies and we each have a symbol from the book.
    Mine is Ralph. I know Ralph represents order, civilization and productive leadership in the novel, but later Ralph's position as a leader declines.
    I have to do a presentation.
    One of the options is dance:
    Choreograph a dance, with appropriate music selected, that conveys the meaning of your symbol.
    What songs and type of dancing would be good for this?
    It has to relate to Ralph and leadership.
    Any ideas would be great to get me started.

  • Make the dance start off structured and precise, then slowly decrease in its precision and make it a little sloppy and casual.

    This represents his rise and fall in leadership.


  • Start with either structured writing or a mind map and think of all the things, organizations, types of people or professions that represent those qualities (i.e. military, police, govt.) and think of how they move to demonstrate their leadership and control.

    They might move very strong and direct, with very sharp easy to understand motions. They would stand very tall and straight and would act immovable to demonstrate that they were at the top and to get their minions to follow.

    Pretend that you are giving a talk or leading a march, grab some movement from that as well.
