How to get an album of mp3s to show as an albumal
November 25, 2008 on 6:33 am | By | In bluefreesky.com | How to get an album of mp3s to show as an albumali have f:\music\albums\ created, and my path is set to f:\music\albums.
i have my music filed on my pc hdd as "\\
does xbmc handle that type of config (spaces and all), or do i need to flatten the directory structure so that my pink floyd, australian crawl, fgth, metallica, fargone beauties, and vivaldi are all at the same level.
now i have been told eslewhere, that spaces should be ok in a folder name, and i have ftp'd the above fgth album under my f:\music\album directory, but i'd really like to have the album appear as part of a search when i go in to play music. are there any database files i need to delete to make sure everything is clean? i'm at a loss here.
documentation on this area seems pretty slim, and perhaps its obvious, but help! :help:
eitherway, it is working now.
thanks for the help.
if you want the non-files views to work, just click on scan and wait for it to finish. *(a note on scanning... it requires that the music files be tagged correctly. *it does not infer anything from your directory structure.)
if you want to make sure your db is clean first, you can delete myalbums#.db from your albums folder.
