  • Stand up can be hard. To get started I suggest you see a lot of different comedians doing stand up. Even just go on youtube, maybe it'll help.

    Remember that all Stand up acts are there to be funny, obviously, but also to convey a point. All comedians are trying to get a point across.
    Lewis Black hates Bush and religion, George Carlin also hated religion...
    Think of something you want to let people know about it, do research, and make it funny.

    Also, try talking about actual experiences you've had. Maybe something that isn't funny, but is a funny situation. Maybe you had a bad experience with doctors of hospitals, that's always a popular theme.

    Try to just talk about things that you can talk about, or things that you know a lot about. It will take work, but I'm sure you can do it!
