Impulsive eating, how do i stop?
I have found myself eatting all the time. No matter if i'm hungry or not. I'm only 15 and i just eat all the time. I'm not fat but i'm not skinny, i am normal for my weight. The problem is once i get older i know that all the weight is going to catch up with me. I eat when i am bored. I try to keep myself productive but it does not work. I'm usually home all the time, i have friends but they are busy or dont want to hang. So its usually just me. I dont have any friends that live by me so i just wtach tv and play GH3 all day:// How can i change my habbits, i dont want to end up chubby or fat in the long run.You need a more productive and constructive hobby to replace your binging hobby. If you can't help yourself perhaps you could binge on fruit as it helps to fill you up and is low in calories. Many weight problems are caused because people eat when their bored. Simple fix. Instead of eating when your bored only eat when your hungry, and buy healthier snack foods just in case you do want to much. Then you feel better on the snacks your eating.Talk to your parents about your issue. If you are the only teenager in the household your Mom may be able to quit buying snack and instant food.
Also try to start taking a vitamin in the morning and drink lots of water. Eat more at mealtime when the food is more likely to be nutritious. -these things may help you feel less like eating.
Also, put all the snack food behind closed cabinets and preferably out of reach. You are more likely to eat out of boredom if you know there is a box of cookies sitting on the counter but if you need to get a step ladder from the garage to get at the chips, laziness may just trump boredom.

"Impulsive eating" ain't that bad if you eat like a carrot, apples, oranges etc when you feel for it. It becomes an issue when you eat unhealthy snacks. The best is to follow a diet plan, and have about 1-2 "food days" every week. That's the days you're allowed to eat candy, chocolate, pizza etc.
That works like a charm. And let me tell you, once you're addicted to healthy food, then McDonald's will SERIOUSLY taste like the garbage it really is.
PS: Healthy food makes you feel fed, while unhealthy food leaves you hungry, drowsy ++ all day.I know someone that did the ice cube diet, everytime you want to eat something you dont need (other than meals), have an ice cube.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
