Is there a single word that means both wise and insane?

  • I am currently in the process of making a character for a table-top role-playing game. I want him to be wise, but also considered "insane" or "crazy" by his peers. I don't want it to be something like "Malnear the Insane and Wise" or visa versa, I just want it to comprise a single word meaning both.

A friend suggested "genius," but not many will see that as the character being intelligent, which is not the goal here, as wisdom and intelligence can clearly be seen as two different things. ( Wisdom doesn't come with intelligence, and intelligence doesn't come with wisdom. )

  • Well, you could always make up a word like winsane.
Then it is easy to understand, an 8 year old would get it.
Umm....Other than that I don't think I can think of anything else.
