http://s123.photobucket.com/albums/o284/...Edit: She is a chihuahua! she just has to coloring of a Min Pin!Looks like a chihuahua to me..i think its a chihuahuaomg that is such a cute little puppy! i am pretty sure its a chihuahua! awww!It may very well be a cross of both. It looks a lot like a chihuahua that just isn't perfect. One thing about the min pin is they have a hackney like gait, lifting their legs high so they look like they're prancing, and chihuahuas are know for their apple dome head and prick ears (this dog has folded ears, like the min pin. Try reading up on both breeds, using http://www.akc.org/breeds/index.cfm?nav_...Definatley a Chihuahua.I would say a mix, although color is the only thing I see resembling a min pin. Absolutely adorable regardless. What you have is a Chihuahua. Many people only see the coloring so are quick to assume that it could be a Miniature Pinscher or crossed with one,but based on the structure, muzzle and over all build this is a Chihuahua and appears to have no Miniature Pinscher in it.
The ears have nothing to do with determining a Miniature Pinscher from a Chihuahua as a Miniature Pinschers natural ears can and often do stand.
As for the hackney gait, that is not as common as people again "assume". Majority of purebred Miniature Pinschers do not have a hakney gait and in fact the true Miniature Pinscher does not and never did. In Europe, a hackney gait in the Miniature (Zergpinscher) Pinscher is a fault.
I have a miniature pischer and yours looks more like a chihuahua Hello,
The picture looks more on chihuahua's attributes. If you want a comparison test, you may check on the ff sites:

'Tis a Chihuahua.
Not the right body structure for a Miniature Pinscher.
Hope this helped.
Good luck with your new ChihuahuaI would say that is a miniature pinscher. My neighbor has a chihuahua and he looks like nothing like your pup. Keep in mind I'm not an expert.Could be a cross. What did the breeder tell you she is? This is what happens when people buy dogs from irresponsible backyard breeders.from what I could see the pup is a chihuahua
it has the square look where the nose meets the forehead and the tail looks flat which is another attrbute of a chihuahua.
some chis ears don't stand aslo they often will bend while teething #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
